Paul J. Doyle replies: "Wow, interesting timing . . . I just uploaded two new pictures for my Art page when I got this message . . .*SIGH* I've had a very tough winter, and have struggled with winter-related depression. I wasn't suicidal or anything, but I just felt so . . . withdrawn. And unmotivated, except for the financial neccesity of going to work and doing an acceptable job, the emotional need to be a good father and a functioning (though not eager, during that time) husband. I'm still picking up the pieces, falling behind on a great many things. Don't worry, now that I'm starting to upload stuff again (I'm now working a Wyvern's ticket) I will be getting back to the comments.

I feel so bad if I have insulted anyone (after all, I used to respond to these comments ON TIME EVERY TIME), but real life decided to not be very kind to me. Hopefully I've become a stronger person because of it.

Anyhow, sorry. When life knocks you down, you might have to stay down and writhe in pain for a little while, but at some point you have to get back on your feet again, in as best way as feasible. "

Decided to cruise a few pages that I'd visited before. I'll definitely keep poking my head in to see what new stuff you have coming, along with reading the stuff I haven't read yet. I also noticed you put a Margaret Fisher under you Writer Friends, if thats me, then I feel so loved, but alas I am not the only Margaret Fisher around this place. Keep up with the writing, and don't let life get you down too much!

I am currently not accepting anonymous, or non-Elfwood artist/writer comments, because of problems with a certain few dumb asses on Elftown who do not belong there :/

This is how my Elfwood bio should look. Elftown has become a much better place now, though there will always be some problems (just like anywhere else). Let's just say the drama's 99% gone, and I have no desire to be a drama queen. ;-)

Elftown is starting to get more art scene-friendly again. Useless mindless cyber-turds are starting to emigrate from Elftown to Elfpack, which makes many of Elftowners more comfortable to be on there now However, I will never again be quite as active on Elftown as I used to be. Some really unsavory things happened there which I cannot completely forgive. Besides, I have a real life. Elftown has many good things, but word to the wise: as an Elfwood artist or an Elfwood writer (or both) you have no more say on Elftown---the very community originally designed for YOU, the Elfwooder---than some brainless disruptive turd or fourteen year old cybersluts who belong in an AOL chat room.<br><br> Anyway, enough of that. I will add a lot of new pictures in the next few months. Please understand I can't put my novel here, because I'm concerned about copyright issues. There's also just too much violence, profanity and sex to get anywhere past Elfwood moderators. <br><br>Anyway, that's where I've been lately o_o<br><br>ART EXPERIENCE: I have only been drawing actively since June of 2003, around the time my mother passed away (a much better coping mechanism than alcohol, tobacco, television or drugs, in my opinion.) I am slowly getting better. I have a huge amount to learn. I have no pretentions of my art abilities. They aren't bad, but they aren't great, either. Keep that in mind if you are thinking about a request or a commission. <br><br>WRITING EXPERIENCE: I have been writing since I was a small child. Always have, always will. Now I am trying to get published the old fashioned way.<br><br>COMING SOON: Elfwood Elftowner links, other links, etc. Busy, busy, busy!

I just saw one of your comments on another artist's site (Jennifer Alice Peters), and I couldn't help but come here. Are you a Trekkie? I sure am! That was a very, very creative comment. Now, I must check out whatever you have written, or I may die of misplaced desperation. And, may I ask, which episode is your favorite? "Captian Aubrey to Scotty, one to beam up!"

hey, long time no see... it has been a long time since I have heard from you... I do miss chating with you, but i guess you do have your reasons for this, so I won't introude on that... I just thought I stop by and see what more you were up to... I see you have more things published here and a mod's choice... very nice... I probably won't get an answere to this, but I wish you luck to anything you will undertake in the near and far future... cheers...

Wow....what an interesting page. The inspirational work you have derived from your mother’s passing in 2003, is quite admirable. Elfwood does not dissapoint. Keep up the good work!
